Wet and marshy, the trailsground sinks as each step is taken. Frost and snow still cling to the ends of twigs and the tips of grass that have started to emerge. A wonderland both frozen and alive. Raw, soggy earth gives way to planked boardwalks that weave through the shrubs. They seem to recede into the distance, much like winter is receding as well.
