Honey Bee Cowl
A light and airy summer cowl. The sweet honeybees knit into this
pattern will delight you!
Materials:
Mountain Meadow Wool’s Green River, 2-ply fingering 50% Merino wool 50% bamboo, 250 yards = 2 oz. Two skeins in Marigold.
Size 5 (3.75 mm) needles, 24-inch circular.
Optional size 5 DPNs for working sample, if desired.
Notes:
The cowl is worked in the round from the bottom up. The honeybee pattern is adapted from Barbara
Walkers Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. The pattern is originally written to be knitted flat.
The pattern was adapted for the cowl to be worked in the round.
Please read the pattern through before starting. Each Honeybee motif is flanked by a panel of faggoting. The faggoting is a 2-round repeat (A and B), and the Honeybee is a 6-round repeat.
