Honey Bees Cardigan
Honey Bees is a simple, top down, raglan, A-line shaped cardigan worked with a honey bee lace panel down the back. The sleeves are divided at the armholes and worked in the round. The Neckband is worked at the end with short row shaping to give it a better fit. This pattern includes directions for both 3/4 and long sleeves.
Finished Chest Measurement:
36 (38, 42, 44) “/91.5, (96.5, 106.5, 112) cm
Cardigan shown measures 42″, modeled with slight ease.
Sweater is intended to fit with slight positive ease.
Gauge:
16 sts/24 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch on larger
needles. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct
gauge.
Yarn:
Garnstudio DROPS Bomull-Lin 53% Cotton 47% Linen / Flax,
93 yards (85 meters)/50 grams (1.76 ounces) Colorway Natur
and dunkelblau, 10 (11, 13, 14) skeins.
Needles:
1 US 4/3.5mm circular needle, 40”/100cm length for the
Neckband.
1 US 6/4 mm
1 US 6/4 mm DPNs (or magic loop for the sleeves)
1 US 7/4.5 mm circular needle, 40”/100cm length
1 US 7/4.5mm DPNs (or magic loop for the sleeves)
Notions:
Tapestry needle, 6 stitch markers, removable stitch markers, waste yarn or stitch holders for the sleeve stitches.
