For accessibility this pattern is also available in my etsy.com shop. Honeybear is also available as part of the Cindwood Masterclass Series class “Mosaic Colorwork for Loom Knitters. Mosaic slip-stitch colorwork is just another way of saying “easy and impressive”. This pretty cowl looks hard, but if you can knit and purl, you can make it. No seams, no ends to weave other than the cast on and cast off. Is it fun to loom? You bet!

Loom: Any peg combination with a multiple of 4 may be used. 5/8 inch gauge loom with pegs in multiples of 4. Sample made on the CinDwood Crafts 100 peg afghan loom. A 120 peg ½ inch gauge loom may be substituted, as well as a 60 peg ¾ inch gauge loom. Worked in the round. Smaller sizes may also be made - this pattern will adapt very easily.

Yarn: bulky weight wool yarn, divided in two colors.
C1 = 150 yards, darker color
C2 = 130 yards, lighter color
Sample made with Beaverslide Dry Goods Fisherman’s Weight 3 Ply in Rosehips and Knit Picks Swish Bulky in Bare.
Note: if substituting a ½ inch gauge loom aran weight yarn should be used; if substituting a ¾ inch gauge loom, super bulky weight yarn should be used.
