Inspired by the busy bee, this hat takes its design from the perfect symmetry of the honeycomb. Hexagons line up row by row, topped by a crown resembling the dahlias our insectile friends love so much.

The Honeycomb Hat is worked from the bottom up, with increases after the brim to give it a very slight slouch. The honeycomb motif is created with clever cabling, which is modified into the crown decreases to create the flower.
