This pattern uses exactly one skein of yarn, with only 1 m of yarn left. However, if your gauge is slightly different, one skein might not be enough. Therefore, I recommend one of the following:

• get an extra skein of yarn; or
• get some leftover yarn of contrasting color for the border and strap; or
