Introductory Note: I love lace and I love cables so I figured it was time to combine the two! This design was inspired by the thought of flowers, in this case honeysuckle climbing up a trellis. This is a cowl knit flat and then joined with Kitchener stitch. Cowl has a cable stitch edge.
Techniques Used: Intermediate Lace: yarn overs, ssk, k2tog, k4tog, double decrease, 3x3 Cable and provisional cast on. Kitchener Stitch for joining. Optionally knitted in beads.
Size: 20” (50.8 cm) wide x 48” (122 cm) circumference
Yarn: DK weight - 300 yds (274 m). Sample shown in Manos del Uruguay, 70% Merino, 30% Silk, 150 yds (137 M), 50 g, 3068 Citrine (2 skeins).
Tools: US #8 (5.0 mm) needles. Tapestry Needle. Optional - 6/0 Beads 32 g.
