This design is more than just a simple knitting pattern; it’s a gift with a particular purpose. It was created to extend love and support to those who need it most in difficult times. In my country, Chile, we are experiencing a tragedy with wildfires that have claimed lives and left many families homeless. Therefore, this sweater is meant to reach the hands of those affected families, like a warm hug amidst adversity.
However, solidarity knows no borders. If you find yourself outside of Chile, I invite you to share your knitting with someone going through a tough time, offering them hope and joy along their journey.
The construction of this sweater, knitted seamlessly in the round from the top down, with small short rows at the neck and circularly knitted sleeves, seeks to provide physical comfort and symbolize unity and mutual support in times of need.

En Chile, mi país, estamos atravesando una tragedia con incendios forestales que han cobrado cientos de vidas y dejado a miles de familias sin hogar. Por ello, este chaleco está destinado a llegar a manos de esas familias afectadas, como un abrazo cálido en medio de la adversidad.

El diseño de este chaleco, tejido en circular y sin costuras desde arriba, con pequeñas vueltas cortas en el cuello y mangas tejidas en circular, busca no sólo brindar confort físico, sino también simbolizar la unidad, el abrazo y apoyo mutuo en tiempos de necesidad.
