Hot Dish Mats
Crocheted in roll stitch.
The large mat will measure 7 x 8 without the fringe
The small mats will be about 5 inches square with out the fringe.
For 1 large and 2 small you will need
65 yards of the color used for outer stripes,
45 yards for light stripes and
30 yards for the rows between the stripes.
A No. 00 steel crochet hook was used.
A hook that has a heavy handle and tapers down to a head just barely large enough to carry the rug yarn is easiest to use in making the rolled stitch.
