The Scottish Terrier who owns my family takes her responsibilities very seriously. There are two children, two adults, and three cats in our home, all of whom require her vigilant supervision. Add to that the constant threat of Bad Guys (invisible ne’er-do-wells who can only be sensed by guard dogs and who must be barked at with high volume), and you can imagine the pressure that Paisley is under. Why, just getting adequate beauty sleep can be a challenge for her. Fortunately, our dog is an excellent multitasker. Just the other day, she managed to bark at the Bad Guys while taking a nap. The rest of us should be so highly skilled.
