HOVI (Court)
The skirt is made using Harmaala yarn
spun by Saimas Spinnery, which is made
from the wool of the rare Kainuu Grey
sheep. The wool is combed and has a
unique silky sheen. The wool skirt is soft
and warm, suitable for both summer and
winter use. The textured knit patterns
make the knit lively, and knitting is not
boring!
There are two versions of the skirt: A-line
and straight.
The A-line skirt is knitted from the hem
to the waist, starting from the hemline.
After the hemline, stitches are increased
so that the width matches the width of
the ribbing and cable knit. Decreases are
made in the side ribbing and in the upper
part of the skirt. Finally, the waistband
casing is knitted.
The straight model has ribbing at the
bottom edge, and decreases only in the
upper part of the skirt.

hameeseen on käytetty Saimas
Spinneryn kehräämää Harmaala-lankaa,
joka on tehty harvinaisen
kainuunharmas-lampaan villasta. Villa
on kammattua, ja siinä on ainutlaatuinen
silkinhohto. Villahame on pehmeä ja
lämmin, ja sopii niin kesä- kuin
talvikäyttöön. Pintaneulekuviot tekevät
neuleesta elävän, eikä neulominen ole
tylsää!
Hameesta on kaksi versiota, A-linjainen
ja suora.
A-linjainen hame neulotaan helmasta
vyötärölle aloittaen helmakäänteestä.
Helmäkäänteen jälkeen lisätään
silmukoita, jotta leveys vastaa joustimen
ja palmikkoneuleen leveyttä.
Kavennukset tehdään sivujen
joustinneuleissa sekä hameen yläosassa.
Viimeiseksi neulotaan vyötärön
kuminauhakuja.
Suorassa mallissa on joustin alareunassa,
ja kavennukset vasta hameen yläosassa.
