Last year a friend got me into Critical Role, a streamed game of Dungeons and Dragons. One of the catch phrases of the show is „How do you wanna do this?“ whenever a monster is slight. The main die used in DnD is a d20, 20 sided die, and it’s the main feature on this cowl/scarf as well.
The d20 is worked up in a mix of cables, intarsia and embroidery. The main pattern is a dragon scale. I liked this pattern long before watching or even playing DnD, but here it’s just perfect. The length of the cowl/scarf can be made to a desired length.
The yarn used for the d20 as well as the cowl were crafted while watching Critical Role.

Size: 223 x 16cm (88’’ x 6’’) before grafting/scarf, but very easily adjusted to desired length.

Needles: 3.5mm (US 4) needles circular needles. crochet hook of similar size for the embroidery/surface crochet

Yarn: 525.0 meters (574.1 yards) fingering weight, shown in 1 skein Wollmeise pure in Elfe
and 20m (5.5 yards) fingering weight, shown in a handspun.

Difficulty: basic lace, basic cables, surface crochet
