Howell Mountain
Cascading chevron cables wind their way up and down the body panels of this bold, graphic cardigan, a lighter-weight, dressier cousin of my Aran-weight Angwin Cardigan. A wider, steeper cable adds even more visual drama, while the subtly variegated shades of YOTH’s ultra-luxurious Big Sister base add depth and dimensionality. A DK weight yarn makes this a year-round piece, while its longer length and elegant open front makes it equally at home over a dress at the office and with jeans on the weekend. Multi-step cables, made up of a succession of 2x2 crosses, help the fabric drape gracefully and add visual interest without bulk. Thoughtful, knitterly details like tailored shoulders, after thought pockets, and an integrated vertical band finish the look. Howell Mountain is worked from the bottom up in pieces and seamed, with all stitch patterns fully charted.

Sample shown is size 42.5” / 110.4, modeled with 6” / 18 cm positive ease at the bust. When choosing a size, aim for 1-3” / 2.5-7.5 cm positive ease at the hip and 4-7” / 10-18 cm at the bust.
