(description from magknits.com)

This is a good project for beginners. Or, for the more seasoned knitter, it could be a nice, quick-fix diversion between more time-consuming projects. It is knit in one big, long piece so there are only 2 sleeve seams to deal with afterwards. The armhole shaping is asymmetric, worked gradually on one side to cover the shoulders and sharply on the other to avoid bunching up at the back. The stripe pattern given does involve darning in a few ends at the bottom of the sleeves; however, if you can’t be bothered just keep 2 colours attached to one side and 1 colour on the other and randomly stripe the whole thing, carrying the ends up the sides.

Cable modification as featured can be found on Craftster.
