Hugs and Cables
This is the cover project on the booklet Easy Guide to Cable Knitting, which was enclosed with Knit Today Magazine, No.55. It is a cabled mug cosy pattern, provided as an easy introductory task for people learning to cable. Apart from a brief stitch library, this is the only pattern in the booklet. A button and cable needle are required.
There is no stitch diagram or charts, but there is a photo tutorial for the C4F stitch in the same booklet.
The project is knitted as a rectangle, then it is joined in the round to fit the mug with a little seam below the mug handle, and a loop and button above the handle. The cabling is simple, with the only cable stitch being C4F.
