This has been really effective – mostly because he’s solved the chilly problem of busting out of his clothes with this handy, snuggly cowl.

Knit in the round from the bottom up, this cowl features a tattered picot cast on and bind off, and colourwork that’s achieved by knitting one colour at a time using an easy purling-back method to avoid turning the work. The pattern also employs a simple stitch-slipping technique to achieve a jogless transition between rows.
