Toasty toes in complementary tones! These toe-up knitted socks, made using Extra Fine Merino Wool blend yarns, showcase the self-striping effect of Downtown yarn as well as the rich, solid shades of Metropolis. A striking colourwork design combines both at their best.

Pattern notes
Socks are worked toe-up and in the round using circular needles and magic loop method. Cast on using Judy’s Magic Cast On. For
instructions, visit bit.ly/43RogZs. Alternatively, use dpns and divide sts accordingly.
Needle 1 and Needle 2 refer to the two needle tips, not to two separate circular needles. As it looks different on dpns, it is explained as Needle 1 referring to first half of sts and Needle 2 to second half of sts.
Colourwork features 2 colours. Refer to Knitting Chart: Colourwork Pattern for Foot and Leg sections, reading from right to left. Due to colourwork, Socks will have limited stretch so carefully assess gauge/sizing before commencing.
Gusset section ensures extra room at the instep/heel. Heel section is worked flat in short rows.
