I-Cord Hooded Scarf
Living where it gets cold in the winter, having something to keep your head and ears warm is a must, but hats don’t work for my hair style. This hooded scarf with long tails stays on my head and tucks nicely into my coat on those frigid days.
One size fits most 9.5 inches wide, length is adjustable.
Yarn: Knit Picks Upcycle Alpaca Blend Sport, 34% wool, 33% Camelid, 33% Acrylic. 273 yds (250 meters)/100 grams. Color 1 Seaglass, Color 2 Fuchia, Color 3 Titanium, Color 4 Black Pearl,1 ball of each.
Needles: US 4 (3.5 mm) needles
Notions: Large eyed tapestry needle for weaving in ends and sewing one small seam, lockable st marker.
Gauge: 24 sts and 48 rows = 4” 10 cm in St st after wet blocking
Notes
Knit from one scarf tail to the other in a striped sequence, starting with an I-cord cast on and ending with an I-cord Bind off.
Sadly this yarn is not currently available but any sport to light worsted yarn would be an appropriate substitution.
