Modern Daily Knitting Field Guide No. 16: Painterly is full of Kaffe Fassett’s genius Intarsia designs worked up in a beloved yarn.

A cushion makes the perfect canvas for intarsia. It makes it possible to see and revel in the glorious details of this technique without any shaping distractions.

For these cushions, we’ve taken two motifs used elsewhere in this Field Guide—the Cityscape pattern used in a scarf, and the Kites pattern used for a throw—and made them the star of their own plush little show.

You can get the full kit including yarn & pattern for these tasty little projects right here!
