Iben
The Syndicate Hats collection is a tribute to my knitting group, Strikkesyndikatet (The Knitting Syndicate). This one is for Iben.
Iben is our architect-gone-bookseller. She is a fan of old as well as modern, intricate as well as simple. She is also by far the most experienced knitter in the Syndicate, so she doesn’t step back from any technical challenge. Iben combines colourwork with architectural lines, celebrating her dynamic energy and expertise.
The hat is worked from the brim up, starting with a tubular cast on and a two-color broken rib brim. A grid-like colorwork pattern is used for the body itself, followed by softly rounded lines that make up the crown shaping.
