Here’s a cool knit, a big garter stitch cornet with three scoops of delicious vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream. Make your ice for a larger toy or as a sweet scatter cushion.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the ice cream is knitted in acrylic 4-ply yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round). This pattern incorporates a frilled cast on and 3 needle join, and step by step instructions are included.

Three 3mm single pointed knitting needles (US 2.5).

Stylecraft Special 4 ply; sport weight; 100% acrylic; up to 50g in each shade.

Tapestry needle and toy filling.

One size only - up to 40cm tall.

For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
