Always use the needle size that enables you to match the specified gauge.
32 sts and 44 rnds over 10cm / 4in of stocking stitch worked in the rnd and blocked, using 2.5mm / US 1.5 needles.

Socks to fit with approx. 2.5cm / 1in negative ease.
Pattern Notes
These socks are worked from the toe up. They can be worked with a modified short row heel that includes a mini heel flap for a better fit, or a standard toe-up faux heel flap.
The sample shown in the photos features the toe-up faux heel flap. This heel is included in the main pattern. The modified short row heel can be found on page 5. Make sure to knit the foot to the correct length for each heel style.
The upper foot and leg are worked in a striking twisted rib pattern. The top of the leg features an interesting decorative stitch and ribbed cuff.
