Mint Chocolate - A Delicious Knit Square

Mint Chocolate is the fourth delectable square in the Ice Princess series! This center-start knitted square is embellished with twisted ribbing and beautiful patterns reminiscent of mint leaves. The piece is easily finished with a crochet hook. Mint Chocolate contains more special stitches than the previous squares, but all are explained both verbally and in the video.

Mint Chocolate is my favorite piece in this project, I can’t help but be delighted with how beautifully the mint leaves take shape. At the beginning of the leaf, there is a special stitch called “tiara”, don’t be scared by the long description, after a little practice it became my favorite stitch!

As with the previous squares, the piece is incredibly versatile on its own and can be easily combined with other squares and shapes to create endless possibilities.

This pattern includes written instructions and a chart for knitting the square, as well as videos to make knitting easier.

Squares are knitted in rounds starting from the middle. Bind off (and join to other squares) with a crochet hook.

As a standalone project, any yarn will do. The whole Ice Cream Princess blanket is knitted of Lankava Lempi with 6 mm needles and one square takes about 55 meters of the yarn - square diameter is about 28 cm.
