Ice Flowers
This lace shawl pattern “Ice Flowers” is the representation of frost display on a window on a cold winter morning. I tried to catch the textures and impressions, subtle connections between different patterns, and the beauty of creation by nature.
The shawl is rectangular with scalloped edges. Knitting instructions are divided into steps for easier following and you can choose between written instructions and charts. Now all you need is yarn, needles, and time.
Remember! You can knit anything two rows at a time. ♥︎
YARN
150 g to 200 g (2450 to 3289 yds) 30/2 cobweb lace weight yarn from wool or merino (1500 m / 1640 yards per 100 grams)
You can use any laceweight fine yarn, but note that you need to check the yardage to get enough yarn. I would get more than needed, just in case, or choose the yarn I know I can get more of if needed.
NEEDLES
4 mm / US 6 / UK 8 needles for casting on and binding off
3 mm / US 3 / UK 11 needles for knitting
The shawl is knitted flat, but you can use circular needles if you feel it’s more comfortable.
FINISHED SIZE (after blocking)

180 cm / 70.9 inches in length
