Ice Wine
by Thea Colman
This is a great, big, cushy cowl for tucking your face into on a cold day. I wanted a bold, simple texture, so slipped stitches garter is accented by slipped stitches on both front and back, making for a perfectly reversible piece.
The simple design means easy TV knitting, and bulky yarn means a short time between cast on and snuggling in!
The Osprey is a dream to work with - soft and satisfying on the needes, with just enough heft to wrap around without draping down on the fabric. As shown, the cowl takes 3 skeins, and can either be worn long or wrapped twice with the perfect amount ease. It could easily be knit shorter with 1 or 2 skeins - and you could even change colors if you had a mix of shades…
