Idyllwild Scarf
This comfy scarf is named after the small town of Idyllwild, CA - a forested retreat steps from the Pacific Crest Trail in the San Jacinto Mountains.
Idyllwild is a scarf pattern for advanced beginners who have mastered knitting and purling. Knit flat with bulky wool yarn in a simple rib pattern on large needles, the purl stitches are dropped to create an open fabric with incredible drape.
Idyllwild is the perfect scarf for cold winters, like a big blanket without the bulk of a solid fabric. Optional fringe adds to the coziness.
