Bats don’t have to be scary… they can be irresistibly cute! I mean, look at this guy. Cute, right?

Igor is 4” tall with a 10” wingspan when completed with a worsted weight yarn.

To complete your own tiny bat, you’ll need:

  • 70 yards of worsted weight yarn (Ella Rae Classic is the yarn used in the sample): Purple (35 yards), Black (30 yards) and White (5 yards)
  • A size H (5.0mm) crochet hook (or size required for a nice-looking fabric)
  • A tapestry needle
  • 12mm black animal eyes
  • 1”x1” square of white felt
  • craft glue
  • Polyester stuffing

Can you single crochet? Then you can make this bat! Skills required:

  • single crochet
  • increasing
  • decreasing
  • embroidery

As always, this pattern is a pdf that includes progress photos… so you won’t get lost!
