Illusion Shapes Blanket
or buy at Payhip or LoveCrafts.
Twelve basic illusion shapes.
The pattern includes twelve charts, all at the same size so you can put them together any way you want to. The blanket is shown in very bright colours but would work equally well in more subtle colours.
Interesting effects can be created by using different combinations and orientations of shapes. The blocks are square so many of them could be turned sideways so that you see different things as you move round the blanket. For example, you could make the blanket entirely from blocks with circles on, placing some with their stripes running vertically and others horizontally. You would then see circles whichever side you view from but they wouldn’t be the same circles.
Each block is about 8” (20cm) square.
One of the photos shows what you see when you look straight at the blanket. The colours chosen for each block would make a big difference to the overall effect.
