In the Meantime
One should always have a spare knitting project along on vacation, in case the current project hits a roadblock. Because we’ve hit a supply snag with Great Lakes Road Trip, I have at the ready a second mystery project.
It’s a little knitting murder-mystery cowl. It has been solved, but you can still make the cowl, of course!
Like every other knitting mystery, this cowl will be like solving a knitting puzzle-- each clue brings you closer to the finished product, and the excitement builds with every stitch.
It can be made of your choice of size--either 26” or 52”. Join me as we do a little walk in a spooky yarn shop.
What yarn is needed? You’ll need three colors of yarn: dark, light, and pop. Your dark and light may be either the same color two different colors. The pop should be something that contrasts especially with the dark. This is a great opportunity to play with color! About 100 yards of each will do for the smaller cowl, and 200 of each for the longer cowl.
Of course, for this project, you might want black, gray, and … bled.
