This is another item I designed for my students, who wanted to explore granny squares, without making a granny square afghan.

The name comes from the fact that you can make this up so quickly, it’s great for a last minute gift - hence “in the midnight hour”. I am NOT a sewer, but even I can sew the simple lining, and instructions are included to do so. I sewed all the seams and the zipper by hand.

It measures 4” by 8”, but as exact gauge doesn’t matter, your clutch may vary slightly in size. Use up your scraps of worsted weight yarn - I used mainly Red Heart Super Saver.
