Skill level = advanced
MATERIALS: Cordonnet crochet cotton no. 10, about 140 yds pink and about 85 yds white. Steel crochet hook US size 7 or SIZE FOR GAUGE.
A small doily in 16 rounds of alternating white and pink thread. Written instructions for rounds 1, 2, 8 and the edge.Pattern is fully charted and gives instructions for special stitches.
Pattern features:
quadruple triple crochet (quad tr) yo 5 times and finish 2 yo’s at a time for a stitch 6 ch tall.
tr, dtr and 4-dtr clusters
chain in chain
2 tr cluster and 2dtr clusters.
irish-type crochet edge of chains filled with dc and picots.
Editor’s note: this editor found rounds 10 and 16 have chains of 15 which created doily cupping. This editor found chains of 17 adequate to prevent this.
