‘In Vino Veritas’ is an asymmetric triangular shawl knit in a DK weight yarn. The combination of simple garter stitch and easy lace column pattern create lovely visual effect and make an interesting knit. ‘In Vino Veritas’ is knitted from right tip to the left edge starting with a single stitch. The bias construction imparts a great drape and fluidity. This pattern is suited for knitters who have some experience with lace knitting.

The sample is shown in Triscellion yarn ‘Heulwen’ DK a gorgeous blend of alpaca cashemere and silk, and knit in color called ‘Norn’.
This sample took almost 3 full skeins with very little left.
The yarn can be substituted by other types and weights. The pattern will lend itself to sock or sport weight yarns as well. Choose a yarn with either alpaca or silk content or both for a lovely drape.
The size shown is 80”wing span and 27” at centre back.
This pattern is charted only with a minimum of written directions.

’In Vino Veritas’ can be worn wrapped around the shoulders or neck and will keep you warm on a cold day!
