Incognito Socks
The magic of these socks happen in blocking and putting them on your feet. The fun cables and rib detail are hidden as you are knitting. Then you stretch them out to have a look and WOW…the cable chain pops out and you have a gorgeous looking sock. I hope you love knitting your Incognito Socks.
The sock is knit from the top down with a garter edge heel flap and traditional gusset. I finished it with my version of a rounded toe.
Small 56 stitch, (Medium 64 stitch, Large 72 stitch).
7 (8, 9) inches / 18 (20.25, 23) cm,approximate foot circumference.
Written and charted instructions are included with a video tutorial to show the simple cable combination.
Thank you to Marit from Gobsmacked Yarn for the yarn support and the beautiful yarn called Undercover Orchid.
The pattern looks great on lots of different types of yarn…Give it a try! Check out my tester’s project pages for inspiration.
I used one skein of fingering weight main colour yarn. My sample is knit all in one colour, but my testers had a lot of fun and got creative with contrast colours.
Huge thanks to my test knitters Heather J, Rochelle, Leanne, Jenn, Kathryn, Heather E, Ally, Josée, Lori, Mara and Rosalyn for their feedback and their beautiful socks.
