Designer Notes: “Try swatching textures in various yarns to see how the yarn affects the look. I swatched this style in many different types of yarn before I settled on a nubby raw silk. In some yarns and colors, the stitch details all but disappeared. In others, the stitches popped out with crisp definition but the “hand” was too hard. The raw silk I ended up with provided good stitch definition as well as appealing color variation, weight, and drape--perfect!“ --Michele Rose Orne
