To make this beautiful throw you need to be comfortable changing colors and working on the back loops of your stitches, if you can do that you can create beautiful tapestry crochet pieces!

For this blanket I used a 5.5mm crochet hook and aran weight yarn. I used Red Heart Super Saver and Craft Smart Value yarn because they had the perfect colors and also because I wanted to use this throw as a decorative piece, not a piece I would use to snuggle with.

To make the pompoms I used a 3-3/8 (diameter) Clover pompom maker.
