Infinite Surf is a rectangular wrap with lace and texture stitches reminiscent of waves, sea foam, and the infinite power contained in the surf. The lace and texture stitches are straight forward and easy to memorize, making this a satisfying knit for newer lace knitters, but challenging enough to keep a more seasoned knitter interested.
Living near the beach most of my life, I am currently living close enough so that on quiet nights I can hear the waves of high tide hitting the shore. As a breeze dances across the waves, you fold your wrap around your shoulders knowing that your hands created the warmth you now feel.
There is an almost living presence in the waves. Science tells you that there are natural forces controlling the power of the surf.
The ancients always believed in immortal beings, magic and mystery to explain the natural workings of their world.
However, one thing is certain the power of the surf, whether you believe science or myths, is constant and infinite.
This pattern is both written and charted.
