Size guide
The Inge Sweater Man is meant to have a positive ease of 10-15 cm 4-6”, depending on how loose-fitting you would like it to be. Picture shows a sweater with a positive ease of 12 cm 4.75”.
Find your personal bust circumference by measuring around your chest (or the largest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements at the beginning of the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the sweater). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the sweater’s measurement. For example, if your bust circumference is 98 cm 38.5”, a size M will give you a positive ease of 11 cm 4.25”.
(109 cm - 98 cm = 11 cm).
42.75” – 38.5” = 4.25”
Construction
The sweater is worked from the top down. Start with the yoke and work short rows and raglan increases. Then, work the yoke in the color pattern with raglan increases. Finishing the body and sleeves separately. That means the pattern is worked only on the right side. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline, and the neckband is worked in rib.
