Yarn Malabrigo Yarn Chunky (100% merino wool; 104 yd / 3.5 oz): #123 Rhodesian, 6 (7, 7, 8, 9, 9) skeins.

Needles Sizes 11 (8 mm) and 13 (9 mm): 24” circular. Size 11 (8 mm): 16” circular. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions Marker; stitch holders; tapestry needle.

Gauge 12 sts and 18 rows = 4” in St st on smaller needle; 12 sts and 16 rows = 4” in St st on larger needle.

Notes The body of this vest is worked back and forth in one piece from the lower edge to the underarm, then the upper fronts and back are worked separately. The hood is worked from stitches picked up around the neck on the larger needle so that the hood has more drape than the body. Edgings are all worked in seed stitch, and the front bands continue unbroken from the bottom of the body all around the hood.
