Intarsia Flower Pillow
As the name says, this is a pattern for a pillow knit with an intarsia flower motif. A few details make this home-cheering design unique. This pillow cover is knit flat despite resulting in a perfectly circular pillow shape. An intentional selection of stockinette, garter and seed stitch are used in combination with intarsia colorwork to achieve a more dimensional looking finished flower motif. Coneflowers (echinacea) inspired this throw pillow, in particular the seed stitch detail used to achieve the flower’s center. Finally, this pattern was designed without positive or negative ease to create a distortion-free finished flower motif.
