GENERAL INFORMATION (English -> See below for Italian)

The sweater is knitted entirely flat.
The pattern features cables on front, back and both the sleeves.

For the cast-on I used the tubular cast-on technique, but feel free to use any other technique you prefer. This will not affect the final result.

TENSION
23,5 sts and 35 rows over stocking stitch.

39 sts and 36 rows over cable pattern.

NEEDLES
2mm circular or flat knitting needles for cuffs and hem;
2,5mm circular or flat knitting needles of cuffs and hem;

3,5mm circular or flat knitting needles for body and sleeve.

2.5mm circular knitting needles for neckband.

FINISHING
Use invisible seam (mattress stitch) to join front, back and both sleeve’s caps.
Before sewing, I found it useful to wash and block each piece to size. if you prefer, though, you can press all the pieces instead of blocking them. It will make it easier to sew all the seams together.

Pay attention: the use of a different yarn (e.g. merino wool or simply another type of cashmere) may require a significantly different quantity of yarn.

INFORMAZIONI GENERALI

Il maglione è lavorato interamente in piano.
Il pattern presenta una lavorazione a trecce sia sul davanti e dietro che su entrambe le maniche.

Per l’avvio ho utilizzato l’avvio tubolare, tuttavia è possibile utilizzare qualsiasi altra tecnica.

TENSIONE
23,5 maglie e 35 ferri a maglia rasata.

39 maglie e 36 ferri su lavorazione a trecce.

2mm ferri circolari o piani per la lavorazione a coste;
2,5mm ferri circolari o piani per la lavorazione a coste;
3,5mm ferri circolari o piani per la lavorazione del corpo e delle maniche;

2.5mm ferri circolari per la lavorazione (in circolare) del collo.

FINISHING
Per cucire il maglione consiglio di utilizzare il punto materasso (sul diritto del lavoro).
Prima di procedere alla confezione, però, consiglio di lavare e bloccare in misura i singoli pezzi del maglione. O, qualora non si disponga del tempo, consiglio di vaporizzarli bene.
