Imagine the dusty air and scorching heat of an archaeological dig. You can trace the different ages through the lines of sediment growing ever higher around you. Deep in the dig the air cools. You keep descending until finally you reach it--the iridium layer, which is believed to mark the asteroid impact that ended the dinosaurs.

On this adorable kids’ pullover knit in two colors, the knit/purl pattern evokes the sedimentary layers, plunging down at the center as if on a dig. At the bottom of these layers runs a single colored line--the iridium layer. It’s a simple, yet fun knit for kids of all ages!
