Iris is started by knitting flat the back from top down to the base of the armholes. Short rows are used to shape the shoulders, then stitches are picked up at the shoulders to work each front. Both fronts are knitted separately to the base of the neckline then joined. Once the front measure the same as the back, the back and the front of the sweater are joined and the body is worked in the round to the hem. The stitches for the sleeves are picked up around each armhole and knitted in the round to the wrists and finished with ribbed cuffs. Finally stitches are picked up along the neck, and a rib collar is worked.

This sweater is knitted with two strands of lace weight yarn held together. If you prefer you can use one strand of a DK weight yarn.

Iris se tricote en commençant par le haut (top down). Il débute par l’empiècement du dos qui est tricoté à plat jusqu’aux emmanchures. Des rangs raccourcis façonnent les épaules. Puis les mailles sont relevées au niveau des épaules et chaque devant est tricoté séparément jusqu’à la base de l’encolure. Les deux pans de devant sont ensuite réunis. Lorsque le devant atteint la même longueur que le dos, dos et devant sont joints, le corps est travaillé en rond. Les mailles des manches sont relevées et également travaillées en rond jusqu’aux poignets. Enfin des mailles sont relevées le long de l’encolure afin de façonner le col.

Laine et matériels :
Le pull se tricote avec un mélange de 2 fils de type dentelle (lace). Il est possible également d’utiliser un seul fil de laine de type DK.

• Anneaux marqueurs + 2 anneaux marqueurs amovibles (Anneaux-marqueurs en forme d’épingle) aiguille à laine, brin de laine
