The shawl is worked with two strands held together from the top down starting in the middle of the upper edge. It gets wider by increases of the accentuated central axis and on both sides. Over the stripes of knit stitches through the back loop small loops looking like butterflies are worked. The pattern creates a flat top on the upper edge of the shawl. The stripes end later at the desired position and are then replaced by purl stitches. The shawl is finished with a rolled edge of knit stitches.

Das Tuch wird zweifädig von oben nach unten gestrickt und in der Mitte der oberen Kante begonnen. Es verbreitert sich durch Zunahmen an der betonten Mittelachse sowie an den beiden Seitenrändern. Über den Streifen aus rechts verschränkten M werden kleine Schleifen gearbeitet; durch dieses Muster entsteht an der oberen Kante des Tuchs eine flache Spitze. Die Streifen selbst laufen später an der gewünschten Position aus und werden anschließend durch li M ersetzt. Das Tuch wird an der unteren Kante mit einem Rollrand aus re M beendet.
