Irisée
Nature creates fascinating minerals in the most varied sizes and forms. Some are genuine masterpieces, growing in astonishing geometric shapes and displaying a mesmerizing array of colors. Such are rainbow pyrite and bismuth. Pyrite forms perfect cubes, while bismuth stacks thin squares on top of each other. Both exhibit dazzling iridescent colors.
The Irisée scarf / stole is inspired by these geometric and iridescent minerals. Irisée means iridescent in French. The scarf / stole features a center with geometric lace with chevrons and diamonds. Those patterns are reminiscent of the shapes of pyrite and bismuth. The edge panels are worked with very lacy vertical patterns, which complement the center lace. Join us on this mineral exploration and wrap yourself in color!

For best effect, use a not-too-fluffy yarn with enough stitch definition. Yarn weights ranging from Lace to DK would be suitable. As for colorways, I would recommend solid or semi-solid yarns, a smooth gradient, or a self-striping yarn with a long color repeat.

Pattern notes
This pattern is worked flat, starting from the short side and with a needle slightly size larger than the yarn would call for. This produces a slightly lacier fabric. The stitch count remains constant throughout the whole pattern. Suggestions are given to customize the pattern.
Charts and written instructions are provided, as well as clear video tutorials for the used stitches and techniques.
