Thank you to test knitters: Christine, Kristi, Debbie, Ann, Kathy, Helen and Erin!

This intriguing unisex design was created in collaboration with Shepherd’s Hill Farm to celebrate sourcing local fibre. Wear these to stay warm on a snowy day in the forest.

These mittens have an elegant Saxon cable motif on a background of reverse Stockinette stitch (lots of purling!). The cable reaches a lovely point at the top. The invisible thumb gusset is worked as part of the mitten and the thumb is added at the end.

This pattern is knit from the cuff to the top with a DK weight yarn. They look best in a solid or semi-solid colour. These mittens have two sizes (with adjustable length) and no visible seam.
