This pattern is the kids’ version of Eutaw Street, and is part of the Charm City Kids collection!
Knee high, as baseball socks should be, these socks feature offset ribbing at the cuff and garter stitch stirrups that run the length of the leg and travel down the foot. Worked from the cuff down, this is a great pattern for team colors, self-striping yarn, or using up leftovers.
Finished measurements: 4 ½ (5, 5 ½, 6, 6 ½)”/11 ½ (12 ½, 14, 15, 16 ½) cm foot circumference, 7 (7 ½, 8, 8 ½, 9 ½)”/18 (19, 20 ½, 21 ½, 24) cm leg length and 5 (5 ½, 6, 6 ¾, 7 ¼)”/12 ½ (14, 15, 17, 18 ½) cm foot length; to fit U.S. child shoe size 6 (7, 9, 10 ½, 13)
It is recommended that socks be worn with ¾ - 1” negative ease
Gauge: 32 sts and 40 rnds = 4”/10 cm in st st in the rnd, blocked
Yarn: Tanis Fiber Arts PureWash Fingering, 100% organic merino (450 yd/113g): 1 skein each in Cosmic Night and Chris Grey
Or approx. 100 (140, 180, 225, 275) yd fingering weight yarn.
