This is one of my favorite designs. I wear my hat a lot, especially when I am in creative mode. The pattern stitch gives it a lot of texture. It uses simple stitches so it is great for a beginner. It also works equally well for women & men depending on the color you choose.

The pattern was named after Iseult Gonne, a fascinating woman born in 1894 who had a profound influence on many literary figures of the time, most notably William Butler Yeats and Ezra Pound.
