Pretty Fair Isle tunic for young girls. Worked bottom up in the round and divided for armholes.
Neck is place on stitch holders and then picked up for the rib, to give maximum stretch. Shoulders are worked with a three needle bind off.
This is a short dress, designed to be worn with leggings and tights. It does look particularly short on my daughter as I forgot to account for the fact that she is as tall as an average 6 yr old, despite being just 3 when these pictures were taken!
The pattern is sized for a ‘typical’ child but full measurements are given to help you decide which size to make, as we all know, there’s no such thing!
This pattern is currently available through digital back issues of The Knitter here.
