The scarf/wrap is worked in two pieces and then grafted in the center, starting with the interesting lace pattern (which you have to pay some attention to), followed by easy garter stitch. The size is easily adjustable.
Gauge 
20 stitches and 32 rows = 4” (10 cm) in garter stitch with smaller needles, relaxed after blocking
Finished measurements 
 15” (38 cm) wide and 64” (162.5 cm) long
Yarn 
Knit Picks Hawthorne Fingering (80% superwash wool, 20% nylon; 100 grams/357 yards): 2 hanks in Portsmouth (MC) and 1 hank in Bare (CC). Sample required about about 650 yards of the main color and 180 yards of the contrasting color.
Needles 
US 5 (3.75 mm) and US 4 (3.5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
