Isolde’s Thorn Crochet Scarf Pattern

Created for the 2026 Crochet Australia Tournament, Isolde’s Thorn draws its inspiration from the legendary tale of Tristan and Isolde. The scarf reflects both the beauty and the heartbreak woven throughout the story. The body of the scarf features shaped darts, while the edging transforms those darts into elegant thorn-like points, giving the design its distinctive silhouette and the inspiration for its name.

Designed for intermediate crocheters, the pattern is written in both US and UK crochet terminology and includes clear, step-by-step instructions throughout. If you enjoy projects with unusual construction and thoughtful design details, Isolde’s Thorn offers something a little different from the ordinary.
